Rice!! A much misconstrued and misunderstood food item of Indian Cuisine! Much blamed for its fattening and diabetic properties. I am particularly fond of eating rice in any form, be it plain dal rice, khichdi, biryanis, pulaos, masalebhaat..or even the rice kheer. Too bad the hyperglycemic state of my blood, restricts me to eat lesser amount of it. In here are few of my all time favorite recipes of Rice - starting with Naralibhaat (Coconut rice for Narali Paurnima), Chilli Paneer with herbed rice, Palak Khichdi made in pure ghee, Soya Kheema Biriyani, Veg Biryani, and Tomato rice.
Just occurred to me, what is lacking is a picture of good old daal and Rice! will be amended soon..
Note to self - never go low on the stock of Thillai biryani masala..Else the biryanis would never taste the same!

In our world the story telling ability is holding the audience attention. Some day will try few of the stuff here.
