It was the mediterranean evening! Home made 'no-oven' pita pockets, falafel and hummus. Made with available resources so in absence of coriander, the falafel looks little different in color. Other than that, absolutely authentic taste!!
I always find the original taste of Hummus and Falafel little bland. The quintessential Indian in me craves for that extra tang, extra color and the savory touch to my dishes. So, we make an exception, we fill the pockets with fresh slices of tomato, onion and capsicum, and add a bit of tomato ketchup to improve the tang quotient. Freckles of paprika sprinkled on the hummus instantly makes it more appealing.. And there we go..in the Sub-Saharan temperature of Ahmedabad city, we dine our way the Mediterranean style..
